Architecture has been the throughline of my work long before I had language for it.

Whether working as a psychiatric nurse, social worker, healthcare administrator, or researcher, I kept returning to the same question:

Why do people and organizations continue producing outcomes they do not intend?

As a psychiatric nurse, I saw how much courage and effort people invested in rebuilding their lives. What was less often examined were the systems, structures, and conditions that made those changes so difficult to sustain. That realization became the starting point for the questions that continue to shape my work today.

Over time, that question became a deeper one:

Who becomes possible when the architectures shaping us begin to change?

Today, that question forms the foundation of my research, writing, consulting, and the original frameworks I have developed to understand identity, leadership, and organizations.

Why I Do This Work

Across every domain I've studied—people, leadership, and organizations—the same pattern emerged:

Outcomes are rarely accidental.

They are produced by architecture.

My work is devoted to making that architecture visible.

Because every outcome has an architecture.

How the Work Developed

My career has intentionally crossed disciplines that are rarely brought together. Beginning in clinical practice in the United Kingdom, I saw firsthand how systems shape care long before I studied those systems through research.

That experience led me across behavioral health, public administration, healthcare leadership, workforce development, implementation science, and higher education.

Today, that work has evolved into three interconnected areas of inquiry:

• Identity: Exploring how survival becomes identity through the Infrastructure Self™.

• Leadership & Organizations: Examining how leadership and organizational architecture shape performance through the Leadership Threshold™ and Architecture Index™ frameworks.

• Application: Translating research and proprietary frameworks into executive advisory through Victory Crown Consulting, helping healthcare and behavioral health organizations redesign the systems that produce their outcomes.

Selected Background

I hold a Ph.D. in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Administration and Policy, complemented by interdisciplinary graduate training in social work, advanced mental health practice, public health, and nursing.

I currently serve as Program Director and Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration.
